Thank you for all your amazing decorations for the GUCC Tree!
It was a privilege and a delight to be able to decorate our tree at the 2021 Christmas Tree Festival with all the beautiful decorations that you made. It was lovely to be a part of the festival and to hear choir members who visited the festival say how proud they were of our tree!
For those of you who were unable to attend I have put together a brief compilation showing the decorations and the tree.
In addition to all your amazing decorations we also displayed the words of the poem by Angi Sullins, which are also reproduced below.

you refuse to sing

fill a stadium
or decline the joy of dance
for fear of looking
ridiculous
or you resist risking
the new adventure

completely healed and whole

just remember
a bird doesn’t sing
because it’s talented
a bird sings because
it has a song
the moon doesn’t only shine
when it’s whole
it can show up with
a single sliver of itself
and still light an entire
night sky
